Saint Helen's School Art Program
MY PHILOSOPHY
Art is a vital component in meeting the emotional, intellectual and spiritual needs of our students, and thus is
an essential part of a well- rounded academic program. At St. Helen’s School, Art classes provide an opportunity
for individual creativity. The curriculum lays a foundation for self-expression and growth. The goal is to constructively
challenge the students while also nurturing their self-esteem. Art class creates a platform for creative communication.
Being able to express one's self openly and easily is a skill that can and should be applied to all academic experiences.
Ultimately the student will be able to share more of themselves; to their immediate and spiritual families and
to the community at large.
