The nursery program is open to children who are 3-years-old. The class meets twice a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays
from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The goal of the nursery is to help children gain the social skills needed for school.
Emphasis is on play, sharing, turn taking, and peer interaction. |

Pre-Kindergarten Program - 4 yr.
olds
Our pre-kindergarten program operates three mornings a week from 8:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. An academic program, children
learn skills needed to succeed in kindergarten. When children complete Pre-K they know how to write their name,
the letters of the alphabet and their sounds, numbers, patterns, counting, listening skills, basic graphing, fine
motor skills, and gross motor skills. These skills are mastered through fun, age appropriate activities. |

Educare Program - Full Day for 3
and 4 yr. olds
We offer our new
Educare program a full time program for 3 and 4-year-olds:
Children in this program master the same skills as children in our part time program, however the learning is spread
out through the day and the calendar year.
The program combines child care with nursery and pre-kindergarten curriculum.
It is staffed by a team of qualified early childhood educators and assistants.
The program operates year round with the hours of operation from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Children in the program will have access to our school facilities including the new library in the Lally-Perkins
Media Center, gym, and fenced in playground.
Children who participate in either our traditional part time program or our new Educare program have the opportunity
to transition into our popular full-day kindergarten. Research on full day kindergarten has shown that children
who participate in full day kindergartens score higher on standardized reading and math tests, get better grades,
and come to school more often than students who didn’t go to full-day kindergarten.
We accomplish this in a safe, secure atmosphere, which fosters mutual respect, spiritual growth, intellectual discipline
and a life-long concern for peace, justice and service to others. |
