Saint Helen's School Philosopy
Mission Statement
St. Helen's Roman Catholic School, a member of the Schenectady Catholic Regional School System, is the major educational
and faith formation extension of St. Helen's Parish. We welcome families with children of all faiths, ethnic origins
and ability levels in Nursery through Grade 5.
Our highly qualified and dedicated faculty and staff are devoted to developing the whole child by instilling Christian
values, promoting academic excellence and insuring a culture of family interaction in all aspects of school life.
We accomplish this in a safe, secure
atmosphere, which fosters mutual respect, spiritual growth, intellectual discipline and a life-long concern for
peace, justice and service to others.
Thus, we believe the contributions of our school
should be to: Present and lead students to Christ
who is "the way, the Truth, and the Life."
· Provide for the growth of a positive self-image.
· Cultivate the intellect.
· Develop the ability of good judgment.
· Promote a sense of Christian values.
· Present the legacy of our cultural heritage.
· Prepare for personal and group responsibility.
· Foster and develop a spirit of community and global assistance to the needy.
· Equip students with skills for future advancement.
